Chairman of the Board
Mr. Clark is currently the Director and Chairman of the Board of Focus Energy Trust, and a Director on the Board of Storm Exploration Inc. From August 2002 until June 2004, Mr. Clark was the Executive Director of Storm Energy Ltd. From November 1998 until November 2001 he was Vice President Finance and CFO of Storm Energy Inc., then from November 2001 to August 2002 Executive Director of Storm Energy Inc. From January 1986 to July 1998 Mr. Clark was employed in various positions of increasing responsibility the last being Executive Vice President and CFO of Pinnacle Resources Ltd. (a public oil and gas company).
Director
Allen Bey is a Professional Engineer with 24 years experience in the oil and gas industry. Mr. Bey graduated from the University of British Columbia in 1982 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. In 1997 he founded Avid Oil & Gas Ltd. where he was President, Chief Executive Officer and Director until it was sold to Husky Energy Ltd. in July 2001. Prior to this Mr. Bey worked for 14 years with Norcen Energy Resources Limited where he held the following varied positions; Asset Rationalization Leader, Manager of Crude Oil and Liquids Marketing, Supervisor of Intra-Alberta Gas Marketing, Senior Marketing Engineer, Production Engineer, Construction Engineer, Field Engineer and Evaluations Engineer. Mr. Bey is a member of APEGGA The Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta.
Director
Mr. Wilson obtained his Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary and holds his Chartered Accountant designation. He has over 22 years of finance and administration experience in the domestic and international oil and gas industry. Prior to joining Archean Energy Ltd. in January 2002 and then its successor, Grizzly Resources Ltd., in September 2004, Mr. Wilson has held executive financial positions in Canadian public, junior and intermediate oil and gas exploration and production companies including Precambrian Shield Resources, Mark Resources, Chauvco Resources/Chauvco Resources International, Maxx Petroleum and Grey Wolf Exploration. Functional responsibilities have included finance, treasury, tax planning and structuring, strategic planning, risk management, accounting, investor relations, human resources, information systems and administration activities. Throughout his career, he has been actively involved in acquisition and divestiture negotiation and structuring. Mr. Wilson maintains membership in Financial Executives International of Canada, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta and Canadian Petroleum Tax Society.
Director
Mr. Severs is a registered professional engineer with over 40 years of experience in the petroleum industry. As the Chairman of the Reserves Committee of the Board of Rock his primary focus will be the stewardship of that committee. He will also contribute to the assessment of the technical merits of growth-oriented, acquisition opportunities, and to the review of exploration and development prospects.
Mr. Severs began his career with Texaco Exploration Canada in 1969 and subsequently became Engineering Manager with Anderson Exploration Ltd. In 1980 Mr. Severs began a 22-year career with GLJ Petroleum Consultants Ltd. As a Senior Vice President at GLJ, he managed the preparation of reserve determinations and economic evaluations of oil and natural gas properties for a broad range of exploration and production companies. After retiring from GLJ, Mr. Severs became an independent consultant to the oil and natural gas industry advising clients on merger and acquisition opportunities, on exploitation programs and on future natural gas supplies. He is also the President of Charob Resources Inc., a private oil and gas company.
Mr. Severs holds a B.A.Sc degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Toronto (1969).
Independent Director
Mr. Adams is a Professional Engineer and an ICD.D certified director with more than 13 years of oil and gas experience. He is a Vice President with ARC Financial, Canada's largest private equity firm focused on junior energy. Mr. Adams is responsible for developing and completing new investment opportunities for ARC Financial and enjoys working closely with portfolio companies, primarily with respect to risk management and corporate strategy.
Prior to joining ARC Financial, Mr. Adams was a Senior Exploitation Engineer with ARC Resources Management Ltd. He began his career as a Reservoir Engineer with Shell Canada. Mr. Adams graduated with a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering in 1994 from the University of New Brunswick and is a member of APEGGA. He is currently a member of the board of directors of two private companies.
Director
Mr. Slavin is a professional engineer with over 25 years' experience in oil and natural gas exploration and production. He joined ARC Energy Trust (ARC) in 1993 following a seven year career as an engineer and economic analyst with two of Canada's largest energy companies. Mr. Slavin plays a key role at ARC, overseeing and actively driving its investment activities in the areas of Canadian and international exploration and production. From 2000 to 2003, Mr. Slavin led ARC's investing activities in the alternative energy and energy technology sectors. His responsibilities at ARC include deal origination, structuring, monitoring and exit. In addition to Rock Energy he currently represents ARC on the boards of Aduro Resources Ltd., Bountiful Resources Inc., and Renaissance Alaska, LLC. Mr. Slavin's education includes an M.B.A. from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario and a B.Sc. in Geological Engineering from Queen's University.
